DJ Joey A was by far my favorite vendor to work with leading up to the wedding day. From start to finish, I was blown away. After out initial video call, I was EXCITED to be working with him. I'm so happy that he was available on our date. He helped me with reception timeline, kept me on track with timing, came to the venue for a walkthrough and talked me through what he thought would work best for the set up, and made me feel even more confident that everything would work out as planned. DJ Joey is so kind, professional, creative, and knows how to read a room. I even had an idea for a remix of a song I asked if he could create for our grand entrance and he did it FLAWLESSLY. Working with him was SO MUCH FUN and I feel like he really understood the vibes we were going for. He was the absolute BEST vendor/DJ to work with. He even has a free online radio station (Sonik Armada!!!) that I listened to during the weeks leading up to the wedding and it made me increasingly excited every day because his music taste is impeccable and right up our alley. He transformed our space with his uplighting and truly helped make it a night to remember. His wife even brought a drone to capture the property and he shared that with us. We didn't book a videographer, so DJ Joey & Tanya's attention to detail is so appreciated and you can really tell they love what they do. They know how to get a party started and keep it going. If you are even considering booking DJ Joey A - look no further - HE IS WORTH IT!!! 

We had the absolute pleasure of working with DJ Joey A for our wedding, and he exceeded every expectation! From start to finish, the music was perfect, setting the ideal mood for each part of the night. Joey recently was the DJ for my wedding. He did a fantastic job all around. From pre-planning, communication, details, execution and more. He preformed for our ceremony & cocktail hour as well as the wedding reception. He was great from start to finish and didn't miss a moment. I would highly recommend DJ Joey. DJ Joey was an amazing DJ and MC. He was very personable and was always in communication which made the whole process run smoothly (even my wedding coordinator complimented on how awesome he was to work with). I even made last minute changes and he was able to accommodate seamlessly. Besides our song list, he was also able to curate songs based on the vibe of our guests that were on the dance floor and I definitely recommend adding his uplights! He was a natural MC throughout the evening and during our wedding shoe game where he was able to entertain the crowd with laughter as he added his own commentary to the questions. To top it all off, I actually first witnessed his talent at someone else's wedding and thought he was so awesome that I recommended him to others and they all loved him! Years go by and as I was planning for my own wedding, I of course contacted him with no hesitation and of course he delivered! If that doesn't show you experienced skill and consistency then I don't know what will. Highly, highly recommend!

DJ Joey A was an absolute hit at our wedding!! We had so many compliments about the music and the lights that he set up matched our colors perfectly. We booked him over a year and a half before the wedding to make sure that we could get him. He helped us plan out the evening by asking questions that we hadn't even thought of. He put everything together in a flowchart and gave it to us for approval. Everything was timed perfectly. Him and his wife Tonya made us a little bonus video of the wedding & reception and last I looked it had almost 4k views. You're in very good hands with DJ Joey A at your biggest day!! P.S. I cannot say enough good things about DJ Joey! From start to finish it was such a pleasure and easy to work with him! He was super organized and blew us away at the wedding! If you want super fun mixes, light effects and a packed dance floor DJ Joey is your guy! Our dance floor was moving and grooving all night and so many people stayed to the end of reception because they wanted to dance! Best DJ I have seen at a wedding hands down, all of our guest kept telling us the DJ was AMAZING !

I hoped that Joey A would be able to DJ my wedding even before I was engaged. When that day eventually came and the planning began, I explained to my fiancé that asking Joey to DJ our wedding was non-negotiable. You will quickly recognize Joey’s expertise and professionalism immediately in the first conversation. He walks you through the entire event from pre-ceremony music all the way to the last song of the night. Not only does he ask you what songs you like, but also songs you do not like. I feel he went especially above and beyond when he let me select a different song when announcing each of the (7) couples in our wedding party. That made an ordinary part of a wedding extra special. Planning a wedding is hard. Joey put me at ease, and I knew that the music and entertainment was a part of the wedding I did not have to stress and worry over. He said, “Christa, I got you!!” And he did! Joey A has this incredibly unique talent to read the crowd and mix songs that keep the dance floor packed. Not only did he play all the songs that he had us select prior, but he also threw in other favorites that I never even thought of. We had guests out on the dance floor the entire night that I never expected to leave the table. We received compliments all night long, and for weeks after, about how much fun our wedding was. I contribute a huge part of that to Joey. I am deeply honored that he (and Tanya) were an intricate part of one of the most important days in my life. Joey is kind, personable and well equipped/experienced for weddings! There was a worry about the balance of different music genres/generations/cultures - but Joey made it absolutely SEAMLESS. From the first phone call, we knew we had found the DJ for our wedding. Joey was by far the best vendor that we hired for our wedding day! To this day, a year later, we still have guests talking about how great of a job he did! He answered my calls and texts immediately and made sure that all my detailed requests were granted, not to mention he was on time and extremely professional. DJ Joey A the absolute best part of our wedding he was so kind, answered any questions quickly, knows how to read the room & really keeps the party going all night long. DJ Joey A was in every respect amazing, fantastic, an absolute delight, and if he wasn’t our DJ, he would’ve definitely been our guest! We loved having him at our wedding so much! DJ Joey A did an amazing job! He was so willing to work with us on our special song/playlist requests. Besides how easy and accommodating he was to work with - our guests LOVED him. He did an amazing job of constantly changing songs and tempo to keep people on the floor all night. Highly recommend.

Joey was amazing from start to finish he wanted to get to know my partner and I. My partner and I felt our special day was even more special. He listened to us, stayed in contact with us the entire time and answered all our questions in a timely manner! He played only the songs my husband and I wanted. I think everyone stayed till the very end because his music kept so many dancing till the very end. I have been to two other weddings he has been the DJ for and the same is true for the other weddings.

I originally thought dj just played music with speakers and anyone could do it but after having DJ Joey A do our wedding I've learned how wrong I was. He helped make a time line for our wedding and then during the wedding he kept the crowd coming back and dancing all night long. We got to experience Joey at our friends wedding two years before we even got engaged and I immediately told my now husband that whenever we got married Joey was going to be our dj! Once we finally got engaged, I immediately messaged him and checked on his fall availability for the following year so that we could pick a weekend that worked with his schedule too! I’ve referred him to so many of my friends and clients and love when I get to go to a wedding knowing he’s going to be there because you know the dance floor will be packed and the wedding will be so much fun!!!

Omg, where do I even begin. I don't do reviews often but all I have to say is BOOK JOEY NOW! He was hands down the best vendor I booked (and I had some pretty awesome ones). Joey is super communicative, quick response turnaround time, flexible, and all around just a nice guy to work with. You can tell he really cares about what he does. My ceremony was set up to be outdoors, and then we got hit with a complete random summer storm just during our ceremony timeframe. Joey was on it, he found me right away and asked me what I wanted to do. I said lets move it indoors, so he moved all of the equipment indoors quickly and our ceremony went off without a hitch still. Because of the rain, it delayed our ceremony start time by about 20-30minutes which in turn pushed everything back by 30 minutes. I wanted to stay on the original schedule timeline if possible, and honestly, thanks to Joey, it happened. My venue was amazing but the coordinator's assistant was kinda MIA, so I really was leaning on Joey to keep the party moving...which he did! I told him I just wanted to party and he made sure we partied! I have friends and family members still to this day telling me how fun our wedding was and it was their favorite wedding of the year. Not tooting my horn at all, because it was all Joey!! Also, I didn't hire a wedding coordinator. So I really relied on the venue's day of coordinator and my DJ. SO - if you could pick only one vendor and one vendor only - pick DJ Joey!!! You could get married in the middle of nowhere and he would make your day the most amazing day ever. Thank you Joey for everything! You are the best!!!!

We were so lucky to work with DJ Joey! He came highly recommended from one of my coworkers, and did not disappoint. He really made sure to understand our preferences and timeline, and I was very comfortable telling him to play what he thought would get everyone dancing! My husband's family are not big dancers, but he had everyone up all night long. When we arrived at the reception venue for a sneak peak on our way over to cocktail hour, Joey was helping our florist light candles! Totally unnecessary, but it just shows that he is willing to go above and beyond to make your night perfect.

I first saw DJ Joey A in 2002, I was 14 years old, at my cousins wedding, I loved music and even at 14 was dancing out on the dance floor! When I turned 21 and started hanging out at bars and clubs I realized DJ Joey A was the same DJ from my cousins wedding!! Every time the dance floor was ALWAYS packed and his mixes were AMAZING! I knew as soon as I got engaged we needed DJ Joey A at our wedding. Through the whole 2020 pandemic, my venues and timelines changed more times than I can count. He responded to every email and text and assured we were going to have a great time no matter what. He asked for a list of songs we wanted to play and gave great recommendations. 5 days before our scheduled wedding date, because of state orders, our venue had to shut down AGAIN. We planned a backyard wedding in 2 days and he was there, and so accommodating!! During dinner, the song choices were our exact vibe. My husband turned to me and said, “I know you said he was good, I didn’t know he was this good, I can’t wait to see what he plays later.” Being a smaller Filipino wedding outside, in my backyard in November, he knew what to play to get the crowd going. We had family from the Bay Area and gave them a shoutout, they went hyphy! Even though plans changed and it wasn’t what I originally wanted, we threw an amazing party, we all had an amazing time and DJ Joey sure helped that happen. Thank you Joey for everything. If you need a wedding DJ, you will never be disappointed, it will be a decision you’ll never regret.

When we sat down and chose our top 3 must have, a great DJ made that list and DJ Joey was amazing! From the moment we met him, we knew our search was over. He was very professional and made us feel very comfortable. He was able to accommodate all of our needs with traditional music from both sides of the family. He kept the whole evening on track and made sure we got everything we wanted. Our family and friends raved about how fun the wedding was because most of them never left the dance floor. Picking a DJ or band for your wedding when you are not from the particular area can be intimidating. I was lucky enough to get DJ Joey A's name from my dentist who attended a wedding where he played. I could not be happier with our decision! My Aunt sang a version of a popular song when I walked down the isle and he was able to custom mix the instrumentals so it was timed perfectly with my entrance. He played a nice mix of music during the cocktail and dinner hours that made the room feel warm and lively. Most importantly to me, he got all 248 of our wedding guests on the dance floor and kept them there all night. DJ Joey A was quick to respond, easy to work with, and ensured our night ran smoothly. You will not regret hiring him!

The vendor I struggled with picking the most our wedding was the dj. I struggled for a long time trying to figure out who was the best fit for us, and who would make our wedding unforgettable. Until we found Joey! The first time we reached out to him, we booked! He was different than every other person we had talked with, head videos prepared for us to watch, and he had so many different options to fit exactly what we were looking for! Our dance floor was packed all night, and a month later, he is still all anyone talks about. Our ceremony music was spot on, he was the life of the party, and he engaged people throughout the entire day. He went above and beyond with our videography and made sure to get some special moments that I had requested even while trying to set up. You will not be disappointed! DJ Joey A was nothing less than perfect! We found him through wedding wire. He was very quick to respond, he answered all of our questions and he even helped designed our day of flow chart. While we ran into a couple issues not related to Joey, he was fantastic in helping keep the flow of our wedding going and upbeat. We honestly arent sure where to begin with our opinion on DJ Joey A. I was at a club where he was playing and by the end of the night, I turned to my fiance and said, "We are booking him for our wedding!!!" Mind you we didnt even have a date set at that time. Once we did, he was the first vendor that we booked, 2 years in advance. He was the absolute best choice. There were so many people that have told us they have never seen a dance floor that packed, the entire night. It was all down to DJ Joey A reading the crowd and knowing what would keep the party going. There were 2 non-negotiables for us at our wedding, the food and the DJ, and he executed on his promises to us, which were keeping the party going and making sure we had a stress free day. He event sent us the highlight video 2 days after our wedding! If you want your guests to have a memorable experience, please please please book this DJ. His services are unmatched. DJ JOEY A was the absolute best deejay that we could ask for! Only a few days after getting engaged, my aunt called me up and said that I HAD to check out DJ JOEY A because she had been to a few weddings that he had done and she loved him. Of course, I took her advice - reached out and brought a bridesmaid to meet Joey. He was perfect from the beginning! Very professional and inviting. Joey never once complained when I would ask a million questions, he became friends with me on facebook and we would chat like friends! The wedding day was perfect - from our entrance song to getting everyone on the dance floor - it was a blast! He played music for all ages and constantly checked in with Dean and I throughout the night. Plus, he took a video of our night and gave us a sneak peak the next day! A DJ is one of the most important components to a wedding- as they are essentially leading your event. I first met Joey when he was playing locally, and could see his passion and commitment to music before he even started doing weddings. When I saw that Joey started to do weddings, I said to myself “he’s going to spin my wedding” and I wasn’t even engaged yet! He’s that good. I stayed to my word and had Joey at our Nov 2018 wedding and it was the best decision of my wedding planning experience! He managed to keep my dance floor packed, and accommodated all age groups at all times. Our wedding would not have been the same without him! I highly recommend Joey A- as he took the time to meet with us beforehand and communicate our wedding plans in detail along the way, always putting the client first! We are forever grateful to have had Joey lead our wedding!

Like many others, when we were engaged, the first decision was easy. We had to contact Dj Joey A and get on his schedule. We didn’t even have a for sure date, and wanted to make sure we chose a date he would be available. We did find a date perfect for us, and as expected, Joey made it the special day we hoped for. We found out about DJ Joey A from another DJ, and honestly hiring him was the best decision we made for the whole wedding. Our wedding was the most fun wedding I've ever been to, and I can honestly say it was due to DJ Joey. He knows how to read the room and play the perfect song for the moment, when to speed things up or slow things down. He played a mix of oldies and top 40 crowd pleasers and mixed things in insane ways that got the people going. The dance floor was full the entire night and everyone from the young kids to our 86 year old grandma were out there having the best time. So many people came up to us after the wedding and commented how great he was. Not only is he amazing at his job, he is the kindest, most upbeat person. He did an excellent job MCing and making sure the night ran smoothly. He also gave us some bonus video footage and some aerial drone shots--just amazing! He is so knowledgeable and offered suggestions to songs we hadn’t even though of. He helped us create a flow for the evening allowing us to truly relax and enjoy ourselves! We absolutely loved the video he put together as well. We have watched it at least a dozen times! It is such a sweet extra that we will cherish! We have and will continue to recommend DJ Joey A to anyone whether it be a wedding or special event!!

Joey was amazing to work with! He was so professional throughout the planning experience and helped us in every way possible. Joey had wonderful suggestions for music and put my mind to ease when explaining how the night will run smoothly! The night went by so fast and so many people danced the night away thanks to Joey's awesome DJ services! My family and friends have been talking about the music since we left Eastern Market. DJ Joey and I go back from when he did my sister’s wedding seven years ago, which was the day I said he would be my DJ for my wedding one day. After discovering his talent and skills from my sister’s wedding, my friends and I always enjoyed a night out at Mr. B’s, as we would make sure we went on a Friday, when we knew DJ Joey would be there. After no hesitations or considering other DJ’s, Joey was the very first wedding vendor I reached out to during my wedding planning and I am pleased to say after seven years I kept my word!! On 7.28.2018, my husband and I experienced the greatest day of our lives and DJ Joey has a lot to do with that, and we can never thank him enough. Joey remained professional, attentive to all our questions and needs, and never left us with any worries or concerns during the planning and/or the wedding day. Even when he was busy with other events or a wedding, he always responded that he will get back to me ASAP. Not only does that tell me that he remained loyal to my husband and I, but that also shows that whatever customer he is dealing with at the present moment, is his priority. It is impossible to plan a wedding completely stress-free and you will not always have the most pleasant experience with every single wedding vendor, as I have experienced hands-on. However, I assure that DJ Joey will be that 100% stress-free company, hands down! Joey also hooked us up with a great videographer named Z. She was absolutely phenomenal!! She remained engaged with my husband and I, as well as our bridal party, however, not once was she overbearing, as some videographers I have experienced can be. As, I look back on our wedding day there is nothing I would change, as I describe our special day as “perfection”. We all know the DJ makes the reception and DJ Joey did just that, and beyond. If you are planning a wedding and want that perfect reception, there is no better DJ to go with! We all know how reviews work, a lot of company’s reach out to you to post a review or even offer you some sort of deal to write a review. We first heard about the legendary Joey A from multiple friends who attended a wedding that he MC/DJ'd. It says a lot about someone when others go out of their way to recommend their services, especially for such an important event. From our very first meeting with Joey, his charisma, professionalism, and passion for what he does was evident. We clicked instantly and within a half hour we knew we had found our wedding DJ. Joey made the planning process fun and easy, always gave us great music suggestions and was always happy to answer any of our questions or ease any of our concerns. Not once did we feel like he was trying to up-sell us on anything or push us in any particular direction. From that first meeting, it was clear that his #1 goal was to make our wedding perfect. On the actual wedding day, Joey blew us away. His speakers and DJ equipment were of the highest quality and his MC-ing was the perfect mix of clear, professional and hype. The custom playlist he made for us, along with his song choices, kept the dance floor packed the entire night. He did a great job of changing genres to appeal to all the guests' tastes, without using any typical, cheesy wedding songs. There was never a moment where the floor emptied in the slightest. In fact, at the conclusion of the night, our guests even chanted for an encore, to which he happily obliged! In the days following our wedding, we received numerous compliments raving about Joey. A recently engaged couple who attended our wedding even told us that they are scheduling their wedding to coincide with Joey's availability. Also, much to our delight, Joey surprised us with a really cool, edited video of our reception within just 24 hours of our wedding. Hiring DJ Joey A to be our wedding deejay was the best choice we made! From his professionalism to his amazing deejaying and MC skills he surpassed every expectation I had. From the moment we contacted him he was organized, professional, and kind. He will go the extra mile for you - he mixed our ceremony music when he didn't have to and stayed until 1AM when the party went an extra hour. All of my guests couldn't stop telling me how amazing he was and how much fun they had. My husband and I danced the night away and had the time of our lives and it was all because of Joey A!

Dj Joey was great to work with! He was very personable and accommodating to what we wanted for our big day. Joey did a great job making it easy on us throughout the whole process. Everything was very detailed and organized. Throughout the day Joey checked in with us to make sure we didn't need anything and kept things running smoothly. DJ Joey A was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! He was the DJ for one of our friend's weddings and we knew we had to have him. When we were picking a venue, Joey's availability helped determine our date. Throughout the entire process he was extremely responsive, professional, and always on top of things. He even met us at our venue months before the wedding to determine the placement of his set, the audio for the ceremony and speeches, and to review the order for the day. From this alone, we knew he took his job seriously. The day of the wedding he was early and had everything set up well before guests arrived. Joey also provided the uplighting for the reception and his entire set up took my breath away. It completely finished the space. Joey also video records much of the reception/takes pictures and it was so fun seeing everything the day after the wedding! Also, at the end of the night most photographers/videographers are long gone and Joey captured some moments I would be so sad to miss! I can't say enough positive things about DJ Joey A- you will be getting top notch service, a full dance floor until the end of the night, and someone who genuinely loves what they do.

DJ Joey A was the best thing about wedding! Joey A was there to keep the partying going all the way to the last song. Joey A was not only a DJ, but coordinator making sure everything at the reception remained on schedule. The dance floor was filled the whole night because he was keeping the party going. Everyone told me that they did not want to leave because they were having so much fun. I grew up listening up to Joey A's mixtapes and he even DJed my prom. I knew that he would be perfect for our wedding. Joey A did not disappoint at all. Very professional and I would recommend him to everyone!
